Most "broken" car keys aren't dead — they're a worn button, a tired battery, a cracked case or a loose blade. A repair from £45 saves the cost of a whole new key and keeps your original, already-programmed electronics.
Buttons re-soldered
The classic fault: lock/unlock buttons that need an ever-harder press. The micro-switches inside are replaced and re-soldered, and the fob clicks like new.
New cases & blades
Cracked shells, worn grips and snapped or wobbly blades are re-housed — your chip and electronics move into a fresh case with a newly cut blade.
Batteries done properly
A battery swap is trivial — unless the fob needs resyncing afterwards, which is where some cars catch people out. Fitted, resynced and tested from £10.
Cheaper than replacement
A £45–£65 repair against a £120–£300 replacement key is easy maths. If a repair won't hold, you'll be told straight and quoted for a replacement instead.

My remote stopped working — is it the battery?+
Usually, yes — and it's the cheapest fix, from £10 fitted. If a fresh battery doesn't wake it up, the fault is normally a worn button switch or a cracked solder joint, both repairable from £45 without replacing the key.
The blade snapped off my key — can it be fixed?+
Yes. Your key's electronics are moved into a new case and a new blade is cut to match your car. It's a same-visit job and much cheaper than a whole new programmed key.
Is a repair as good as a new key?+
For mechanical faults — cases, blades, buttons — yes: your original programmed chip is untouched, so nothing needs re-coding. If the fault is in the circuit board itself, a repair may not be economic and you'll be quoted honestly for a replacement.
Do you come to me for repairs?+
Yes, everything is mobile — though fob repairs are also a tidy add-on when the van's already with you for a spare key or another job.
